HAPATOSOME LipoDRONE ®

Introduction

HAPATOSOME LipoDRONE ® is a second order targeting system, which is designed for targeting Hepatic stellate cells (HSCs). HSCs involved in the progression of liver fibrosis whereas αvβ3 expressed on these cells.
Expression of αvβ3 on HSCs allow LipoDRONE ® liposomes to target them. Thus, achieving maximum and highly selective target delivery system.

Structure

LipoDRONE ® liposomes are marked with specific cyclic RGD peptides, to target HSCs, and showing diameter less than 200 nm.

Mechanism of action

Integrin αvβ3 expression is elevated in activated HSCs. In order to deliver an HSC specific peptides RGD with high affinity to αvβ3, we developed sterically stable liposome.

HSCs preferentially internalized the RGD-guided liposomes.
